We chose Raffles Maldives to not only celebrate our wedding anniversary but to also pause, reset, & recalibrate after a very difficult last few years. This trip meant so much to us and we hoped it would be just what we had been dreaming of for many years. Let’s just say, our dream came true. It was all we had ever imagined and more. The warm and friendly welcome was a glimmer of all that was to come! Dennis De Groot, general manager was attentive and so kind to us. He took a personal interest in us and ensured our stay was extremely special. Our LEGENDARY butler, Yasir made our 10 days absolutely beyond our expectations. His attention to every detail was impressive. We literally did not have to worry about a single thing! He took care of everything, and with a warm smile and twinkle in his eye. Very knowledgeable and attentive to every detail. Mizy & Naai gave us superb attention, recommendations, and every meal which was DELICIOUS, was made even more beautiful by them. Kat made us delicious cocktails….we love the Maldivian Sling & her very own Lavender Cat. (If you prefer more perfumy drinks like we do, not so sweet) Shiayn took us snorkeling and was our arrival & departure host. He was very friendly and added to our relaxation and experience. We stayed 5 nights on the beach and 5 over the water. We loved both so much for different reasons. If we were only to stay at one, we would choose the over the water villa. However both are extremely spacious and tranquil….no bright off putting colors, but an overall “spa” , yet tropical elegant feel which we prefer. The gym and gorgeous spa both had views to die for. The snorkeling was excellent, beautiful coral and so many fish. The color and temp of water was our stunning & our favorite (and we travel a lot) The food was just incredible (every meal) a superb selection from different cultures and we loved eating the Maldivian cuisine! We experienced serenity, calm, solitude, elegance, & all with a family feel. They spoiled us! We promised one another we will return, and this time we will know the beautiful experience that will await! Thank you Raffles Maldives… you gave us an unforgettable, dream come true. Wonderful experience at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo. Truly beautiful place and gorgeous resort. Outstanding service throughout the resort and especially our butler Nattu, who was extremely professional and knowledgeable and happy to help with any requests. Excellent food! Compliments to the chefs.

Amazing stay at Raffles

My wife and I always dreamt of spending time at an overwater villa. We made the right choice by selecting Raffles! From the moment we arrived, our butler Liza, provided exceptional service. She went above and beyond with making arrangements for us and surprising us by decorating our room for our anniversary night. Liza was very friendly and helpful. She arranged a yoga session for us, where we met Ansuman - our patient and amazing yoga instructor. Liza also offered to take us snorkeling (unfortunately we ran out of time and didn't get to take her up on this offer), and arranged an amazing dolphin excursion which did not disappoint. The food was extraordinary. We only had the Half Board so had breakfast and dinner but that was more than enough. Last but not the least, we loved spending our meals at Yuzu. The manager, Shaffaf, was so friendly and we enjoyed talking to him. He even made arrangements for Chef James to come out to meet us and shared some delicious off menu items with us. The bartender, Harsh, was also very accommodating. He made a Cofnut Fashioned for me which was delicious. The property is breathtaking and the service is extraordinary. Butler Liza and Shaffaf really stood out for us as they went above and beyond. We will definitely be back at Raffles.

Raffles was heaven on earth

My husband and I stayed at this property to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary. Our butler, Liza, was amazing. We absolutely loved her from the moment we met her. She made sure we had what we needed immediately and was always there to greet us with her friendly smile. She welcomed us to our overwater villa and gave us a tour, and then made what became one of my favorite drinks - a Maldivian Sling. She was so kind and patient, and even surprised us for our anniversary with a bubble bath and decorations. For our anniversary dinner, we were unable to do the sunken dinner due to bad weather, but Liza made arrangements for us to go to Yuzu, which quickly became our favorite restaurant. The food there is amazing, and so is the staff. We chose to have most of our meals at Yuzu because we absolutely loved the food there, and loved the manager, Shaffaf, and enjoyed talking to him. For our sunken dinner menu, Liza and Shaffaf made arrangements so that I could order from Yuzu while my husband ordered from Thari. They both went above and beyond, and I truly appreciated that. We also enjoyed the drinks at Yuzu. The bartender, Harsh, created a spicy drink made of tequila for me. He was very friendly and accommodating. What topped this off was Chef James who came out to introduce himself and shared two off menu items with us, after hearing from Shaffaf about how much we were fans of his food. Liza also arranged for us to do the sunset yoga with Ansuman. We were first timers and he was so patient and encouraging. We also enjoyed the dolphin cruise which LIza had also set up for us. Butler Liza's attentiveness even extended after we checked out. We unfortunately had to take an early flight, which was probably the only snag in our overall experience. Our international flight was scheduled to leave at 1 pm but we were forced to take the domestic 6 am flight because of issues with the airline, so we had a very long wait at the airport. However, Liza made sure to have breakfast packed for us to enjoy at the lounge, which was very much appreciated. Raffles was beyond anything that we could imagine. The beauty of the property, the cleanliness, the wonderful service, I could go on and on. We definitely plan to come back to once again have this extraordinary experience. Staying at an overwater villa has always been something on both of our bucket list, and Raffles surpassed all our expectations.

the hotel was great. It was quiet, perfect for a honeymoon. All employees were very helpful. The size and design of the room was incredible. Here is the biggest bed I have ever seen in my life. Our butler Koky found solutions to all our problems 24/7. I definitely recommend it.
